Choose your own adventure with our winter Tethered by Taste experiences – now with curated themes to indulge your creativity and curiosity
Spend an afternoon foraging forest paths and tasting the bounty of the land. This immersive tour in partnership with Food Culture Place invites you to explore the land, taste the wild, and reconnect with wonder.
Begin your journey with a guided foraging walk through mossy forest paths or along a rugged beach. Along the way, learn to identify edible plants and discover traditional harvesting practices.
After gathering seasonal ingredients, you’ll return to a rustic outdoor fire pit where we prepare and enjoy a multi-sensory meal together. Whether it’s smoked mussels, roasted root vegetables, or wild tea brewed in the kettle, this is a shared moment of connection — with the land, each other, and yourself.
January: Aromatic Winter Wellness
A cozy, self-care–focused workshop to ease gently out of the holidays and into the new year. We’ll explore simple, soothing creations like winter tea, botanical steams and soaks, honey boosters and blends to support rest and renewal.
February: Charcuterie & Chill
A playful, flavour-forward workshop inspired by mid-winter comfort and connection. Expect hands-on creations like flavoured butters, infused oils or vinegars, fresh cheese or other elements perfect for building a beautiful board at home.
March: Creative Fermentations
A lively introduction to fermentation as a tool for building a wilder pantry. We’ll explore approachable methods like lacto-fermenting, kombucha, flavour building, or wild fizzy drinks – all designed to spark ideas for the foraging season to come.
April: Foraging & Fermentations
A seasonal experience welcoming the first fresh growth of spring. We’ll work with early foragables and explore how to turn them into vibrant ferments, flavour bases, and pantry staples as the wild ingredients return.
Due to the rustic and land-based nature of our experiences – which often include up to 2km of hiking on uneven terrain and wild-inspired food preparation – our ability to accommodate most dietary restrictions and mobility needs is currently limited. We’re actively working toward greater accessibility, and welcome you to reach out with any questions or concerns so we can support you as best we can.
These immersive experiences require extensive preparation, sourcing, and planning. Because of this:

Your experience is held rain or shine — our locations are designed to keep you comfortable in all conditions. In the rare case of severe weather or safety concerns, we will reach out to reschedule. If rescheduling isn’t possible, we’ll offer you a full refund or credit toward a future date.
